How to prepare for B.Tech placements during the 3rd year?
I am currently in 3rd year B.Tech CSE. Placements start in 4th year. What should I be doing right now to prepare? What skills are most important?

Priority list for 3rd year: (1) DSA on LeetCode — medium level questions. (2) System Design basics. (3) One good internship (FAANG or funded startup). (4) Projects with GitHub. (5) Communication skills for HR rounds. Start early — most companies recruit in July-August of your final year.
Start with Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) — this is tested in 90% of tech companies. Practice on LeetCode/GeeksForGeeks. Also build 2-3 strong projects, contribute to open source, and get an internship in your 3rd year summer. For non-tech companies (consulting, finance), work on case studies and aptitude. Your CGPA should ideally be above 7.5.
